Hey! It's Kevin from Firewater Pools!
Hi, I'm Kevin, the owner of Firewater Pools. I started this company with a simple mission: to provide pool service that homeowners can actually rely on. After years of hearing about 'pool guys' who never showed up or skipped steps, I knew there was a better way. I built this business on transparency, communication, and genuine craftsmanship. When you hire us, you're getting a dedicated partner who cares about your pool as much as you do.

Green Pool Cleanup FAQs
Should I just drain my green pool and start over?
Usually no. Draining a pool in Florida is risky—the shell can pop out of the ground from hydrostatic pressure. In most cases, we can clear the pool without draining. Draining is a last resort for the most severe cases.
How long does green pool cleanup take?
Depending on severity: light green (2-3 days), dark green (4-5 days), black/swamp (5-7+ days). We visit daily or every other day to treat, brush, and monitor progress.
Is swimming in a green pool dangerous?
Yes. Green pools harbor harmful bacteria, parasites, and mosquito larvae. Don't swim in a green pool, and keep children and pets away until it's fully restored.
Will green pool cleanup damage my equipment?
The cleanup process is hard on filters—we typically need to clean or backwash multiple times. We'll let you know if your filter media needs replacement. Pumps and other equipment are usually fine.
What caused my pool to turn green?
Usually a combination of factors: inadequate chlorine, circulation problems, filter issues, or simply being overwhelmed by Florida's heat and rain. We'll identify the cause and help you prevent it from happening again.
