Seasonal Pool Opening & Closing in Vero Beach

Expert departure and arrival care for snowbirds and vacation homeowners.

"Leaving your Florida pool unattended while you head north is a recipe for a green swamp. Likewise, arriving at your vacation home only to find a cloudy pool ruins your first week of relaxation. We specialize in the unique needs of seasonal residents, ensuring your pool is protected while you're away and perfect when you return."

Kevin

Hey! It's Kevin from Firewater Pools!

Hi, I'm Kevin, the owner of Firewater Pools. I've spent years helping Vero Beach snowbirds manage their pools from afar. I know the stress of wondering if your pool equipment is running or if an algae bloom is starting while you're thousands of miles away. My goal is to give you total peace of mind so your Florida home is always a place of relaxation, not a source of worry.

Vero Beach Seasonal Pool FAQs

Do I need to winterize my pool in Vero Beach?

In Florida, we don't 'winterize' like they do up north because it doesn't freeze. Instead, we perform a 'Departure Service' where we adjust chemicals and timers to handle the intense summer heat and humidity while the pool is less frequently used.

Should I drain my pool when I leave for the summer?

Absolutely not. Draining a pool in Florida can cause the shell to 'pop' out of the ground due to high groundwater pressure (hydrostatic pressure). Keep your pool filled and maintained year-round.

How often should my pool be checked while I'm away?

For Florida summers, we recommend at least bi-weekly visits to maintain chemistry and run equipment. At a minimum, monthly checks are required to prevent algae and equipment failure.

What if there's a hurricane while I'm not in Florida?

We offer storm preparation and post-storm inspections for our seasonal clients. We'll secure equipment, adjust water levels, and check for debris as soon as it's safe after a storm.

Can you have my pool ready by a specific date?

Yes! Just give us 1-2 weeks notice before your arrival, and we'll ensure the water is crystal clear and the temperature is perfect for your first swim.

Heading North Soon?

Don't leave your pool to chance. Secure your seasonal service now and enjoy your summer knowing your Florida oasis is in expert hands.
